A brand-new runDisney race will be arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort next year – The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-miler Weekend!
This weekend run will be hosted on September 29, 2012, and take runners through the set of the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show as well as past Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat. However, this race will be the first-ever runDisney 10-mile distance that will finish near the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction.
Contestants who finish the entire race will receive a new medal, as well as a post-run party that will feature live music, Disney character appearances and exclusive access to several Disney attractions.
In order to make room for the new race, runDisney has shifted the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon event to November 9-10. Registration for the new race opens February 14, so mark you calendars now!
