Opening Date and Menu Details Announced for Epcot’s French Bakery

There have been rumors regarding expanding Epcot’s French Bakery area in the World Showcase, and sources have said that Boulangerie Patisserie, in particular, was slated to receive a full-blown renovation including the addition of a second story; an upgraded 3,000 square foot kitchen and a counter-service area.
In an article interview, Jerome Bocuse, the son of Chef Paul Bocuse who heads up the restaurant operations in the French Pavilion, had some details to share about the changes coming to the French bakery. He says:

Kathy Ireland Visits Walt Disney World for St. Patrick’s Day

This week, former supermodel Kathy Ireland took some time out of her busy schedule to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with some Disney magic. In Epcot’s United Kingdom pavilion, Ireland got the chance to visit with Minnie Mouse herself, who was dressed for the occasion in her special St. Patrick’s Day polka dot dress.

Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure Coming to Epcot

This year, a brand new interactive adventure will be coming to Epcot – Disney Phineas & Ferb: Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure, to be exact.
Agent P is the alter ego of Perry the Platypus, Phineas & Ferb’s friend from the animated series. He transforms into Agent P in each episode in order to help foil the evil plans of his nemesis, Dr. Doofenshmirtz – and now, Epcot guests will be able to help him.

Epcot’s ‘Habit Heroes’ Exhibit Causes Controversy

A few weeks ago, Walt Disney World’s Epcot installed a new exhibit in Innoventions, a showcase of various exhibits designed to promote new ideas and technologies. The new exhibit, “Habit Heroes,” was a joint effort by Disney and Blue Cross and Blue Shield to combat childhood obesity through interactive games.

New To-Go Italian Food Kiosk Opens in Epcot

It appears a new Italian food kiosk has opened up at Epcot, serving Italian favorites to-go. The kiosk is located in Epcot’s Italy section, and will be open through April 2012 while Tutto Italia  undergoes renovations, and the new Gusto Wine Bar is created.

New Wine Bar Coming to Epcot’s Italy Pavilion

Following the success of the uber popular La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico Pavilion, Epcot has announced that an Italian-themed wine bar will be coming to the park later this year.
As part of the current renovation to the Italy Pavilion’s table service restaurant, Tutto Italia, Gusto Wine Bar will open April 28.  The brand new space will be adjacent to the restaurant, and will feature a look and feel reminiscent of an ancient Italian wine cellar, complete with stone floors and walls, with bricked arches throughout the space.  The …

President Obama is Going to Disney World

In plans that were revealed Tuesday, the White House has announced that President Barack Obama will be paying a visit to Walt Disney World later today.  The president is expected to reveal policies that will give U.S. tourism a boost.
Central to the president’s message will be the push for visa reform, especially for countries like Brazil and China.  The process for obtaining visas to visit the U.S. from both countries is arduous, and require in-person interviews and several days’ wait to gain permission to travel here.

Disney Announces HGTV Stars, Flower Power Concert Schedule for 2012 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival

Walt Disney World’s Epcot is gearing up for its annual International Flower and Garden Festival this spring, and more details are being announced for those who will be at the park to enjoy the festivities. Refurbished Test Track Attraction at Epcot Will  Turn Guests into Automotive Designers

This fall, a new version of the popular Epcot Test Track attraction will be unveiled, giving guests an exclusive look at the world of automotive design.
The refurbished attraction will be called the Chevrolet Design Center at Epcot, and will allow guests to design their own custom vehicles. After designing a vehicle, they’ll be able to take a ride on a six-passenger SimCar to test out their design on the race track.
