Disney Channel Original Movie ‘Bad Hair Day’ Scheduled to Premiere in 2015

Disney Channel is starting production on a new film starring Laura Marano (Austin & Ally) and Leigh-Allyn Baker (Good Luck Charlie).
The film, Bad Hair Day, is scheduled to premiere on Disney Channel in 2015.
Marano stars as a high school tech whiz who wants to be crowned prom queen. But on prom day everything that can go wrong does go wrong, including uncontrollable hair and a destroyed prom dress.
Baker plays a down-on-her-luck police officer who is in pursuit of a lost necklace that Marano’s character unknowingly has in her possession. The …

Disney Channel and Radio Disney Launching 5th Season of ‘N.B.T.’

Disney Channel and Radio Disney are searching for the next youth pop star, and they will be launching the fifth season of N.B.T. (Next Big Thing) this month in an effort to find a winner.
All of the contestants are between 12 and 17 and comprise various musical genres including R&B, pop and modern rock. The contestants include modern rocker Jack Skuller, pop singer Elle Winter, R&B artists Chloe and Halle Bailey, acoustic singer Katharine Hughes and R&B singer/dancer Damian Otchere. Video: Disney Stars Hang Out on the Empire State Building to Showcase New Shows and Movies on Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior

Several Disney Channel stars are in New York City, taking over the top of the Empire State Building in order to help showcase upcoming content across Disney’s family of channels.
