A new Disney Channel Original Movie will be coming to the network next year.
Teen Beach Musical will star Maia Mitchell and Ross Lynch from Austin & Ally. In the film, Mitchell’s character must depart for boarding school, leaving her boyfriend (Lynch) behind. However, the pair end up transported to Ross’s favorite 1960’s beach musical and must figure out how to return to their normal lives. By interfering with the plot of the movie, however, their fate may be changed forever.
The film also stars Garrett Clayton, Grace Phipps, John DeLuca, Chrissie Fit, Kevin Chamberlin and Steve Valentine. Production has already begun, and the film will appear on the Disney Channel sometime next year.
