The Beast’s Castle Coming to Magic Kingdom Park

13 April 2011 2 Comments

For those Disney fans who have been eagerly following the details of Disney’s Fantasyland expansion at Magic Kingdom Park, you’ll be happy to know that a brand new castle is currently under construction – Beast’s castle from the Disney classic Beauty and the Beast!

We’re getting our first official pictures of Beast’s castle, which will sit on top of the brand-new eatery, the Be Our Guest Restaurant. The restaurant is expected to be a gorgeously themed dining experience. Guests will dine in the castle’s ballroom, gallery and the mysterious “west wing.”

Eventually, several more Beauty and the Beast-themed attractions are expected to be added as well, including Gaston’s Tavern; Bonjour! Village Gifts shop and Maurice’s cottage (Belle’s father.) The Fantasyland expansion will begin opening in phases starting sometime in late 2012.

Are you excited about the new castle coming to the Magic Kingdom?

    Denise,
I’m simply giddy about the progress to date. Can’t wait to eat at the Be Our Guest Restaurant; the MK has needed another table service restaurant for SO LONG. :DM

It’s pretty exciting. Hopefully I’ll manage to plan a trip out there once it’s complete and actually see it for myself! Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie, so I’m definitely happy to see how this project is progressing.
