19 October 2011 No Comment

The Walt Disney Company will be honored by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) with their Champion of Youth Award, for bringing “happiness and well-being to children and families, [and] inspiring them to make a lasting, positive change in the world.”

The relationship between The Walt Disney Company and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America go back over 50 years ago, when Walt Disney himself became an honorary member of the BGCA Board of Directors. Disney’s commitment has never wavered in that time; in fact, in 2011 Disney helped raise over 1.75 million dollars for the BGCA.

The Walt Disney Company will be honored at the BGCA’s annual Great Futures Gala, which will be held October 20, 2011 at JW Marriot Los Angeles at L.A. Live. Extra host Mario Lopez will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.
