VoluntEARS’ Annual Tamalada Event Raises Funds, Awareness

13 December 2010 No Comment

Disneyland VoluntEARS recently celebrated the holidays by observing a delicious tradition: the Tamalada.

Every year, the dedicated group of cast members gest together to make healthy tamales, which they serve and sell. Proceeds of the annual event go to support the Latino Health Access (LHA) and its diabetes management program, as well as its efforts to assist those in need with life-saving surgery. In addition to the fundraiser, Disneyland Resort donated $5,000 to LHA in support of their efforts to enrich the lives of children and families through preventative care and education initiatives.

I can’t think of a tastier way to support the community!
