Zuri’s Sweets Shop Opening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom June 17

zurisThe Harambe Marketplace recently opened at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and now a new sweet shop is opening its doors this week.

Zuri’s Sweets Shop is scheduled to open on June 17 and will be tempting guests with Disney-themed sweets with an Animal Kingdom twist.

The shop will sell about 80 different items including specialty candy apples and popcorn, including an African Spice Popcorn. Many of the items will be unique to Zuri’s.

Some of the sweet shop’s items will feature characters from The Lion King including a paw-shaped Simba lollipop.

The packaging on the products will feature three art styles – The Lion King, colorful and whimsical animal patterns, and Mickey Mouse-shaped items.

Other sweets include animal crackers, mini chocolate crocodiles, animal shaped-Rice Krispie treats, and Mickey Mouse-shaped coconut patties.

The shop will also sell non-sweet items including African Spice Rubs and bottles of Flame Tree Barbecue sauce.
