Saratoga Springs to Get New Pool

For those thinking Disney’s Saratoga Springs had become a bit boring, good news! Reports are confirming that work is planned for this spring on a new feature pool at the Disney Vacation Club resort. The pool will be in the Paddock area of Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, “building on the resort’s turn-of-the-20th-century, upstate New York theme.”
Construction is scheduled to be completed in mid 2011 and will replace the current 1,100 square foot quiet pool. The new pool should be 3,300 square feet, with zero-depth-entry, a 146 …

Disney has a long history of innovation in the theme park industry. In addition to creating a huge empire based on providing a top-notch theme park experience they have always been viewed as having exceptional technology. Disney’s OSHA Fine for Monorail Accident Reduced

The fine that Walt Disney World received for a violation that led to a monorail accident and worker’s death has been reduced substantially.
OSHA, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration had originally fined Disney $44,000 in December for violations that contributed to the July 5th, 2009 monorail accident.  The accident resulted in the death of a Disney employee.  The fine has now been reduced to $35,200.
Disney indicates that it is working with OSHA to resolve any further concerns, but did not comment further.  Disney was issued 4 violations by OSHA, all …

MLK Day and “Disney’s Give a Day, Get a Disney Day”

Thousands of people gave their time in volunteer service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King and some of them got something in return.

Selena Gomez’s Potential Payday

While Selena Gomez might not be making the kind of money Miley Cyrus is, it may only be a matter of time.
TMZ is reporting that Selena Gomez is only earning $65,000 salary for her work in Ramona and Beezus, however if the film is a smash those numbers could be changing quickly.  Depending on how much the movie makes, Gomez could rake in between $250,000 and $1,000,000.

Disney and Microsoft Discussing ESPN 360 Content on XBox 360

Disney and Microsoft are engaged in discussion about bringing ESPN content to the XBox 360 according to the New York Times. Each of the gaming platforms is looking for ways to distinguish itself from its competitors. Whoopi Goldberg in the Lion King

Whoopi Goldberg, comedienne, actress and co-host on ABC’s “The View” performed in the Lion King for one night only. Goldberg took the stage on Thursday, January 14th at the Minkskoff Theatre.
