Disney has a long history of innovation in the theme park industry. In addition to creating a huge empire based on providing a top-notch theme park experience they have always been viewed as having exceptional technology. If Disney has their way they hope to continue that legacy with a project to radically transform the theme park industry.
The Daily Disney is reporting that Disney is quietly pursuing an agenda to dramatically improve the customer experience at their parks. While this may not sound like anything tremendously different from the norm, the budget is said to be between $1 and $1.5 billion, which suggests a tremendous dedication to the idea. Additionally they are exuding an air of secrecy about the project, which suggests they are excited about the outcomes.
