Second Wave of Products from ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Features Rey, Finn

Disney has released its “second wave” of products tied to the blockbuster film Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The new collection features new toys, collectibles, and other items that focus on key plot points of the movie including Kylo Ren’s identity and the reveal of Rey’s lightsaber.
The new product line also puts Rey front and center as the break out heroine of the film.

Celebrate Easter at Tokyo Disneyland Beginning March 25

It might still be the middle of winter but it isn’t too early to start thinking about springtime at the Disney Parks.
And Tokyo Disneyland is ready to celebrate spring and Easter beginning March 25.
The “Disney’s Easter” celebration will run through the spring until June 15 and includes several special events.
Guests can enjoy the new Hippity-Hoppity Springtime parade featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and friends dressed in their springtime best complete with bunny ears. The parade features three stops so Mickey can host an egg race.

New ‘Star Wars’ Merchandise at the Disney Parks

If you can’t get enough of Star Wars: The Force Awakens you’ll want to stop by the Disney Parks this year to check out the unique merchandise that has arrived at the parks.

Kylo Ren from ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The newest villain from the Star Wars galaxy is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Kylo Ren will be meeting guests on the bridge of his First Order Star Destroyer at the Star Wars Launch Bay in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
He joins Chewbacca who is already in place at the Launch Bay. Other characters at the Launch Bay might include First Order Stormtroopers.
Guests at Disneyland will also have a chance to meet up with Kylo Ren at the West Coast edition of the Star Wars Launch Bay in Disneyland.

Happy middle of the month! We’re getting through this together, right? It was another week full of Disney news so let’s dive right in.
We all knew it was coming – the inevitable announcement of closings at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The iconic Earffel Tower is coming down and it’s time to say goodbye to Lights! Motor! Action! and the Studio Catering Company.

Disney Parks Inspired Figurines Arrive at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland

A new collection of decorative figurines inspired by Disney Parks attractions are debuting at the theme parks this month.
The figurines are all inspired by characters and attraction icons from Disneyland or Walt Disney World Resort.
The new figures include the crocodile from Peter Pan’s Flight, Big Al from Country Bear Jamboree, and Figment from Journey Into Imagination. They join the Dole Whip trinket box, Orange Bird, and Mr. Toad which were all introduced in 2014.

More Closures Announced at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as Expansion Projects Ramp Up

It’s time to say goodbye to another park icon at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Earffel Tower – the park’s water tower topped with Mickey Mouse ears – is coming down to make way for Toy Story Land. While no removal date was given the 130-foot-tall structure has been part of the Studios’ landscape since the park opened.
There is no word on whether the iconic structure will be moved somewhere else or will join the Sorcerer’s Hat in the graveyard of former theme park icons.

Disney Offers Preview of Star Wars Half Marathon Merchandise

The Star Wars Half Marathon takes place this weekend at the Disneyland Resort and runDisney has offered a sneak peek at the new merchandise.
This year’s merchandise features a vintage style and design with nods to the X-Wing fighters and other classic Star Wars characters and icons. The merchandise also features a “throwback color palette” and some fans might think they’re seeing glimpses of villains in the designs.

Two New Acts Join Cirque du Soleil’s ‘La Nouba’ in Disney Springs

Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba is still one of the most popular shows at the Walt Disney World Resort and the show has recently added two new acts.
The updated show now features a “high energy trio of breakdancing b-boys” and an aerial bamboo act.
The “b-boys” are known by their stage name Bebo, Incredible Josh, and Flying-buddah, and they mix hip hop and breakdance moves. The choreography in their performance mixes freestyle and timed movements.

The Willis Clan Set to Play Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant this Month

The Willis Clan is scheduled to play the Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant in Disney Springs on January 19-22.
If you aren’t familiar with the band, they have appeared on America’s Got Talent and on their own reality TV series on TLC.
The Willis Clan includes 12 kids plus mom Brenda and dad Toby, and they write and record their own music. The family was even named the Today Show’s Sound of Music Family in 2012.
