Walt Disney World Resort Announces September Merchandise Events

The Walt Disney World Resort has announced the special merchandise events for the month of September.
Artist David Doss is returning to the Art of Disney in Disney Springs on September 7-11 from 1-9 p.m. each day. Greg McCullough is scheduled to be at the Art of Disney in Disney Springs from September 14-18 and again from September 28-October 2.
Doss will also be at the Art of Disney in Epcot on September 1-5 from 1-8 p.m. each day.
Representatives from Precious Moments will be at Marketplace Fun Finds in Disney Springs throughout …

Raglan Road Celebrates 5th Anniversary of the Great Irish Hooley on September 2-5

This year marks the 5th anniversary of Raglan Road’s Great Irish Hooley and the celebration starts September 2.
The Great Irish Hooley features craft beers, cocktails, authentic Irish food, and a brand-new ‘Rhythms of Raglan’ show.
This new show is a 90-minute “live spectacle of music and dance, produced in Ireland and directed by David Hayes of Riverdance. The show was choreographed in part by Michael Donnellan, who is best known for his work in Lord of the Dance.

Disney Gives First Look at Haunted Mansion Holiday Gingerbread House

One of the highlights during Halloween Time at Disneyland is the Haunted Mansion Holiday, and Disney is giving guests a first look at this year’s gingerbread house.
The gingerbread houses are part of the ballroom scene at the Haunted Mansion Holiday and this year’s house was made with 200 pounds of gingerbread, 200 pounds of powdered sugar, 4 gallons of egg whites, 1 gallon of lemon juice, 50 pounds of fondant, and 1/3 pound of glitter.
This year’s house was inspired by Sally from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Halloween Merchandise Now Available at Disney Parks

Halloween has returned to the Disney Parks in the form of new merchandise.
The 2016 Halloween collection features new designs created by Disney Design Group artists. The artwork features new textures, backgrounds, character designs, and much more.
The new character posters in the Halloween collection feature popular Disney characters and were inspired by the horror movies of the 1950s. The posters feature characters dressed in costumes matching themed lands in the Disney Parks.

‘Milo Murphy’s Law’ Debuts October 3 on Disney XD

The new Disney XD animated series Milo Murphy’s Law is set to premiere on October 3.
The title role – Milo Murphy – is voiced by Grammy Award-winning recording artist “Weird Al” Yankovic.
The series follows the adventures of 13-year-old Milo Murphy, who just happens to be the (fictional) great-great-great-great grandson of the Murphy’s Law namesake. With Milo, if something can go wrong it will go wrong.

LaShawn Merritt Trained at ESPN Wide World of Sports and Returns from Rio with Two Medals

Team USA Olympic sprinter LaShawn Merritt returns to the States with two medals – a gold from the 4×400-meter relay and a bronze from the 400-meter race.
Merritt trains at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World with other sprinters and former US Olympic track coach Brooks Johnson.
After missing the 2012 London Olympic Games due to an injury, Merritt qualified for the 2016 Rio Games. In 2008 he won the gold medal for the 400-meter and 4×400-meter relay in Bejing.

Disney Gives Preview of New ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ Merchandise

Halloween is just a couple months away and Disney is giving guests a preview of some all-new merchandise inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Guests will find an assortment of spooky fun merch including a Raglan shirt for women, a tank top, a zip hoodie with an image of Jack Skellington and Sally, plus a long-sleeve shirt and hoodie for girls.
Other merchandise items include baseball caps, fingerless gloves, a knit beanie, and scarf for those colder months.

Epcot Food and Wine Festival to Feature Several Resort-Based Experiences and More

The 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival is just a few weeks away and guests have a chance to experience some new culinary adventures this year.
For the first time ever the Festival will feature some resort-based experiences including Culinary Adventures with a Master Chef at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
That experience will allow guests to create dishes under the direction of Disney chefs.

Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri to Create Burger Menu at Planet Hollywood Observatory in Disney Springs

There’s a new celebrity chef headed to Disney Springs!
Guy Fieri, star of Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives – and a restaurateur – has teamed with the Planet Hollywood Observatory to create the restaurant’s burger and sandwich menu.
The revamped menu will still feature fan favorites including Chicken Crunch (chicken fingers with Cap’n Crunch coating). Salads, steaks, and ribs will also be featured.
Guests can finish their meal with the new mason jar desserts that will be exclusive to the Disney Springs location.
