Flying Fish Scheduled to Open August 3 at Disney’s BoardWalk

Flying Fish – formerly the Flying Fish Café – is set to reopen on August 3 at Disney’s BoardWalk.
The refurbished signature dining location will feature a refurbished dining room and a new kitchen led by Chef Tim Majoras.
The menu at Flying Fish has also been revamped and will feature appetizers like Yellowfin Tuna, a Tour of the Coast, and Kurobuta Pork Belly. Entrees include wood-fired Carabinero Prawn and Cobia, Plancha-Seared Hokkadio Scallops, and Waygu Filet Mignon.

runDisney Announces Enhancements for Events

runDisney has announced several enhancements to upcoming races.
Beginning with the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend this year, all event guides for runDisney races will be digital and accessible from a computer, smartphone, or tablet.
And for the first time ever, the finisher medals for the 5K races will be metal, not plastic or rubber as they have been in the past.
The upcoming Disneyland 5K medal features The Country Bears in celebration of the ‘Disney Duo’ theme for the race weekend.

The Muppets Are Coming to the Magic Kingdom this Fall with a New Live Show

Starting this fall, a new live show starring The Muppets is coming to the Magic Kingdom.
The show, ‘The Muppets Present…Great Moments in American History,’ will take place outside The Hall of Presidents.
Starring in the live show are Sam Eagle, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, The Great Gonzo, and James Jefferson – the town crier of Liberty Square. The show will present “historical tales in hilarious fashon.”
Events covered in the show include the midnight ride of Paul Revere, the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and more. The Muppets …

Walt Disney World Resort Announces August Merchandise Events

If you’re visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in August there is a new slate of special merchandise events planned, with many events taking place in Disney Springs.
On July 29 the second series for Vinylamtion – Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released at Disney Pin Traders, Star Wars Galactic Outpost, and Launch Bay Cargo in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Two new Precious Moments dolls are being released in August at Marketplace Fun Finds in Disney Springs. Doll designer Linda Rick will be meeting fans on August 12-13.

Disney PhotoPass Announces New Options for Disneyland Resort Guests

Guests at the Disneyland Resort have a few new choices when it comes to the Disney PhotoPass service.
The Disney PhotoPass+ One Week option includes all PhotoPass pictures that are linked to a guest’s Disney account from seven consecutive days, plus Magic Shots and Animated Magic Shots. This package is $69.
Guests who are visiting Disneyland for one day can purchase the Disney PhotoPass+ One Day option for $39.
There is also the Disney PhotoPass Collection for $99 which includes digital downloads of all PhotoPass pictures, a voucher for a Dining Print Package, …

Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic Adds New Events

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic kicks off Friday, October 28 and runs through Saturday, October 29.
This year’s event features two new beverage seminars – “Craft Cocktail” and “More than Malbec.”
Also new for this year is the Sunday Champagne Brunch on October 30 presented by J Vineyards and Winery. This brunch includes cured meats, imported cheeses, along with sushi and trattoria-inspired entrees.
Guests can book the Sunday Champagne Brunch with a 2-night stay or a Saturday night stay for $75 per person. This price for the …

runDisney Gives Sneak Peek at Inaugural Disneyland Paris Half Marathon Finisher Medals

The inaugural Disneyland Paris Half Marathon weekend is September 23-25 and runDisney has released a sneak preview of the finisher medals.
The medal for the Castle to Chateau Challenge features Sleeping Beauty Castle plus the American and French flags.
This Castle to Chateau Challenge includes the half marathon and one other runDisney races at Disneyland Paris.
The finisher medal for the Disneyland Paris Half Marathon features Mickey Mouse running past Sleeping Beauty Castle, while Chef Remy is features on the Disneyland Paris 5K medal.
And the runDisney Kids Races medal also features Mickey Mouse.

ESPN Wide World of Sports Adding New Sports Venue for Events

The ESPN Wide World of Sports is building a new venue that is specifically designed for cheerleading and dance competitions.
This arena is the only one of its size in the country with those design specifications.
The state-of-the-art arena will be adjacent to Jostens Center and will feature a flexible design allowing it to be used for one large competition or four smaller competitions.
In addition to dance and cheerleading it can also be used for basketball and volleyball.
