New PANDORA Iconic Gift Sets Coming to the Disney Parks

A new Pandora bracelet collection is coming to the Disney Parks this week.
The “Iconic Gift Sets” include one Pandora bracelet, two clips, and one of four different Disney charms.
The new sets will be available at select merchandise locations in the Disney Parks including Uptown Jewelers at the Magic Kingdom and La Mascarade d’Orleans in New Orleans Square at Disneyland park.
Guests will not find the new Iconic Gift Sets online or in the Shop Disney Parks mobile app.
Other Pandora jewelry is available online at on the app.

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney California Adventure to Become Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney California Adventure is closing early next year and will reopen in the summer of 2017 as Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT.
The announcement of the ride update was made at Comic-Con by Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios.
The backstory of the new attraction is that inside his fortress-like collection, The Collector is displaying the Guardians of the Galaxy. They’re all trapped in customized cases but Rocket has escaped and is enlisting the Collector’s VIPs for help.

Happy last-day-of-the-weekend! We hope you’re relaxing and enjoying the days off. It’s been another busy week in Disney news so let’s dive in and see what happened!

Watch Live Stream of Disneyland’s Paint the Night Parade on July 25

If you can’t make it to Disneyland to catch the Paint the Night Parade this summer, no worries. On Monday night you can watch a live stream of it online.
The Disney Parks Blog is set to stream the Pain the Night Parade – which is part of the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration – starting at 8:50 p.m. PT (that’s 11:50 p.m. ET).
The parade features innovative floats, vibrant costumes, special effects, music, and more on Main Street U.S.A. at Disneyland park.

Disney Gives Sneak Peek at AbracadaBar at Disney’s Boardwalk

A new cocktail lounge is opening soon at Disney’s Boardwalk and recently Disney gave fans a sneak peek at the AbracadaBar.
The bar has a backstory that goes like this: it used to be the stomping grounds for magicians and they would gather after their shows to conjure up new drinks.
One night, every magician in the bar vanished into thin air. And now, after nearly seven decades, the bar is reopening as the AbracadaBar.

Dinosaur at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Closing July 25 for Refurbishment

This weekend is your last chance to ride Dinosaur at Disney’s Animal Kingdom until sometime this fall.
The popular thrill ride is closing Monday, July 25, for refurbishment. The official Disney website says the ride will be closed through “fall 2016.”
There are reports that the original reopen date was late September but that has reportedly been moved to mid-October
The ride takes guests on a journey back in time to rescue an Iguanadon before the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs strikes. The ride vehicles are 12-passenger “time rovers.”

Disney Launches New Mobile Game, ‘Disney Emoji Blitz’

If you’re a fan of Disney and emojis there’s a new mobile game just for you!
Disney Emoji Blitz is the game and players can collect and play with Disney and Pixar emojis and even earn Disney Parks emojis.
This is the first mobile game that is connected to a custom keyboard featuring more than 400 emojis of Disney and Pixar characters. The characters featured including fan favorites from The Lion King, Cinderella, Frozen, Finding Dory, The Little Mermaid, and more.

Disney Channel’s Premiere of ‘Elena of Avalor’ to Include Exclusive Previews

Elena of Avalor premieres Friday, July 22, with two consecutive episodes of the new series starting at 7 p.m. ET on Disney Channel.
The animated series introduces a princess inspired by “diverse Latin cultures” and will be presented with limited interruption on both Disney Junior and Disney Channel.

My Disney Experience App Now Includes ‘Get Directions’ Function

If you use the My Disney Experience app while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, there’s a new function called ‘Get Directions.’
This new feature on the app lets users type in a location they want to visit and the location where they are currently and then calculates the travel time, and even gives step-by-step directions.

Disneyland’s Diamond Celebration Runs Through September 5

The Disneyland Resorts celebrated its 61st anniversary on July 17 but the Diamond Celebration – celebrating 60 years of Disneyland – continues through September 5.
The resort’s 61st anniversary celebration was marked with festivities including the Disneyland Band, the ‘Happiest March on Earth’ down Main Street U.S.A., and a cast of 61 characters.
The Diamond Celebration continues through September 5 and guests can still enjoy the Paint the Night parade, Disneyland Forever fireworks, and World of Color – Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney.
