Walt Disney-owned ABC Network will be adding 10 new shows to its next season lineup, sources say.
666 Park Avenue and Last Resort are two new shows slated to begin in September. The network hopes to build on the success of a lineup that will include returning favorites Revenge and Once Upon a Time. Despite the success of these two shows, ABC is averaging 3.1 million prime-time viewers in the 18-49 year old demographic – a number that’s down 3.7 percent from last year.
Four additional new dramas will be added, including Nashville, Mistresses, Zero Hour and Red Widow. Finally, there will be four comedies added to next season’s lineup. These include How to Live With Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life,) Malibu Country, The Neighbors and The Family Tools.
Only time will tell if these 10 new shows will be enough to increase ABC’s ratings.
