Adventures by Disney Announces New Destinations and Teen-Focused Activities for 2014

Adventures by Disney recently announced two new European experiences for 2014, in addition to enhanced teen-focused activities on several existing travel adventures.

The first new journey takes families to Central Europe with a 9-day, 8-night vacation to Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic. Travelers will have a chance to explore the cities of Prague, Salzburg, and Vienna in addition to spending three nights at a resort in the Alps. Families will get to make their own marionettes in Prague, make pretzels in a village bakery in Germany, and visit the Ice Cave of Eishole in the Bavarian Alps.

Another new adventure awaits families in the “Enhanced Italy” vacation where they’ll be traveling to Rome, Florence, Venice, and Tuscany. The trip starts in Rome where families will have a private tour of the Colosseum and an after-hours visit to the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. In Tuscany, travelers will learn the art of pasta making and while in Venice they’ll learn about mask making.

On each Adventure by Disney trip, families are accompanied by two Disney Adventure Guides who team with local experts to provide unique insights into the culture and history of each destination.

“The new Central Europe itinerary will send families on a journey through storybook villages, while the updated Italian vacation will immerse them in the stories and traditions that define Italy,” said Ken Potrock, Senior Vice President, Adventures by Disney. “Additionally, we are excited to introduce updates to some of our classic trips to include even more activities for teens.”

The new teen-focused experiences include learning salsa dancing with the locals in Peru, taking a journey through the rainforests of Costa Rica that ends with a beach party, riding bikes through the Boynton Canyon in Sedona, Arizona, and hiking through the Grand Canyon at sunset.

Adventures by Disney was launched in 2005 to provide unforgettable group-guided family vacations in Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia.
