Disney World Switching to Date-Based Ticket Pricing

Disney-World-Ticket-Date-Based-Pricing-700x449Disney World has announced that as of October 16, a new date-based ticket pricing system will be in place for the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.

This new system will be available via My Disney Experience app and on DisneyWorld.com.

Guests will be able to use the system to search for the lowest priced days in a month, and then choose a start date for their tickets.

Once a start date is selected guests will see a total price for their selected tickets. These tickets will then be valid during the date range but don’t need to be used over consecutive days.

For guests who don’t want to use this new date-based price system, there will be a flexible date option available where tickets will just have to be used within a 14-day window during which to use the ticket after it’s been activated.

This new change is – according to Disney – “are designed to simplify the booking experience, give guests an enhanced way to purchase theme park tickets, and help them more easily plan the Disney vacation of their dreams.” Or, it’s a way to balance out the crowds that just keep growing at the theme parks.
