Downtown Disney Officially Renamed Disney Springs

disney springsDowntown Disney has been officially renamed Disney Springs as part of the transformation of the shopping, dining, and entertainment district.

Disney Springs will feature four “neighborhoods” once the project is completed – The Landing, Marketplace, West Side, and Town Center. When the area is completed in 2016 there will be more than 150 venues for dining, shopping, and entertainment.

The Landing is currently home to THE BOATHOUSE, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, and the newly-opened Morimoto Asia.

The Town Center neighborhood will be home to luxury, premium, and fast fashion retailers. Some of the shops and restaurants coming to Disney Springs including The Edison, STK Orlando, Sprinkles cupcakes, Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza, Lilly Pulitzer, Tommy Bahama, PANDORA, and UGG.

Construction on many of these new shops and restaurants will continue into 2016. Guests will also find new parking options in the parking structures being built at Disney Springs.
