Four Disney Resort Hotels Begin Allowing Dogs to Stay in Rooms

IMG_4262Starting today, October 15, four Walt Disney World Resort Hotels will begin allowing guests to have up to two dogs in their rooms during their stay.

This new dog policy is in place at Disney’s Art of Animation, Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside, Disney’s Fort Wilderness, and Disney’s Yacht Club. According to Disney this is a “test phase” of the policy.

Specific floors and/or areas of the four hotels will be designated as “pet areas.”

Guests who choose to bring their dogs will be charged a fee per night – $50 per night at Port Orleans, Art of Animation, and Fort Wilderness, and $75 a night at Yacht Club.

At check-in guests with dogs will receive a “Pluto Welcome Kit” that contains a mat, bowls, a pet ID tag, courtesy plastic disposable bags, puppy pads and dog walking maps. Owners will also receive a door tag that indicates to hotel staff that a dog is in the room.
