Holiday Details Revealed for Walt Disney World Resort

At Walt Disney World Resort, the magical holiday season begins as early as November 9! From Magic Kingdom to the Animal Kingdom and everywhere in between, Walt Disney World Resort has plenty of seasonal activities for you to enjoy.

At the Magic Kingdom, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will run for 20 nights from November 9 to December 21. Guests who purchase a ticket to this special event will be able to enjoy fireworks, a holiday parade, live stage shows and snow flurries on Main Street. The Magic Kingdom has also been decked out with festive holiday decor, including your favorite Disney characters dressed up in their winter best. You’ll be able to enjoy the Holiday Wishes nighttime spectacular, as well as the transformation of Cinderella’s Castle into a glimmering ice palace perfectly suited for the holidays.

At Epcot, guests can enjoy the traditional Candlelight Processional which combines seasonal music with a celebrity narrator reading the Christmas story. Olivia Newton John will make her debut as one of 12 narrators joining the processional this year, which will run nightly from November 23 to December 30.

Additionally, Epcot hosts Holidays Around the World, where storytellers from across the globe will share traditions and folklore from their homeland. There will also be special meet-and-greet opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as the popular IllumiNations show which will end with a spectacular seasonal finale.

If you’re visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios, they’ll be hosting The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, which features millions of dancing lights as well as animated displays and 3D effects that are synchronized to various holiday tunes. This display will be held on the Streets of America from November 9 to January 4.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is also enjoying the holiday season this year with Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade. Mickey and his friends will enjoy traditional holiday music that has a world beat twist in this event that is fun for the whole family.

Finally, Downtown Disney will feature holiday carolers, a street party, live entertainment and photo opportunities with Santa Claus and Santa Goofy.
