More Details Announced for Frozen Ever After at Epcot’s Norway Pavilion

frozen ever afterEpcot’s newest attraction, Frozen Ever After, is still under construction in the Norway pavilion but we’re learning more about this Frozen-themed ride.

The attraction replaces the fan-favorite Maelstrom which sailed its last voyage in 2014. Frozen Ever After will use the Viking ships and same track from Maelstrom but that’s where the comparison ends.

The new ride will include audio-animatronic figures that use rear-projection technology to make the animated faces look more lifelike. The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at the Magic Kingdom uses similar technology.

Guests on Frozen Ever After will visit Arendelle during the Winter Summer celebration and will sail past an ice-skating Olaf, Marshmallow the evil snowman, and Troll Valley. The highlight of the ride happens when the boats sail past Elsa’s ice palace as she sings “Let It Go.”

Other songs from the hit film will also be part of the ride including “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “For the First Time in Forever.”

The attraction’s queue is considered the first scene and includes Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post

Frozen Ever After is scheduled to open in early 2016.
