New Sense of Africa Tour Debuts at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

akl tourA new tour is debuting at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and guests will be immersed in African culture while learning about the animals at the resort.

The Sense of Africa tour is a 3.5 hour tour that starts with breakfast at Boma – Flavors of Africa. The breakfast includes traditional items (Mickey Waffles) and authentic African dishes.

The tour guides will share information with guests including details about the animals and the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

The tour is meant to encourage guests to use all their senses – taste, smell, sight, touch, and hearing. On the tour guests can select from vegetables and other foods to create a treat for red river hogs.

The Sense of Africa tour is offered each Tuesday and Saturday mornings starting April 9. Reservations can be made starting April 5. The price for the tour is $249 and is open to all guests (you don’t have to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge to take the tour). Guests can call 407-939-8687 to make reservations.
