Visitors to Disneyland Resort this weekend got an early Christmas surprise as they were treated to a performance by Selena Gomez! The “Wizards of Waverly Place” star was on hand to film a segment for Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. After singing “Winter Wonderland,” to the delight of her fans, Selena posed for a picture with Chip and Dale, decked out in their Christmas finest.
Also on hand to film performances for the parade, which will air Christmas Day, was Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, who were joined by dancers Chelsea Hightower, Kym Johnson, Tony Dovolani, and Louis Van Amstel from the ABC hit series “Dancing with the Stars.” The popular swing band performed a hoppin’ version of the Phineas and Ferb song, “Christmas is Starting Now.” And so it is!
Nick Cannon, from “America’s Got Talent,” was also on hand for the taping. This will be Cannon’s first appearance in the annual holiday celebration.
Look for more surprise performances in Disney Parks as taping for the holiday special has clearly begun! And if you can’t make it to the parks to join the fun first hand, you can see the parade in its entirety on Christmas Day on ABC. The parade will air as follows in various time zones:
- Eastern Time Zone: 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.
- Central Time Zone: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Mountain Time Zone: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Pacific Time Zone: 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
