The Week in Disney News – Be Our Guest Breakfast, Minnie’s Holiday & Dine, and a New Disneyland App

holidays at wdwWhat a week in Disney news! There were a couple very exciting food-related stories last week in addition to some great news coming from Disneyland. Let’s jump right in!

After several months of testing breakfast, Be Our Guest at the Magic Kingdom will now be serving breakfast on a permanent basis. Reservations are open now for breakfast starting October 4 and available dates extend out 180 days from today.

Breakfast at Be Our Guest is a prix fixe menu and is one counter service credit on the Disney Dining Plan.

In other food news, Disney announced Minnie’s Holiday & Dine Dinner starting November 7 at Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This all-new holiday dinner features Minnie Mouse and friends in their holiday best and a holiday-themed buffet meal. The dinner is one table service credit on the Disney Dining Plan but can also be booked with the Fantasmic Dining Package.

Speaking of the holidays, this fall and winter is full of holiday-themed fun for guests at the Walt Disney World Resort. The holidays start November 8 at the Magic Kingdom with the kick-off of this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Also at the Magic Kingdom, the Jungle Cruise will be transformed into the Jingle Cruise and Queen Elsa will be using her powers to transform Cinderella Castle into a shimmering ice palace each night during ‘A Frozen Holiday Wish’ castle lighting show.

Other holiday fun includes The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, Holidays Around the World, the Candlelight Processional, and more.

Before the holidays kick off at Walt Disney World, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is celebrating the Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic on Halloween weekend. The full menus have been released for the event and tickets are on sale now. Tickets for one night of the Causeway only are $98.85 per person and one night of the Causeway plus Beer Garden is $117.67 per person. Guests can also purchase a la carte ticket booklets that contain 25 tickets for $50.

And out on the West Coast, guests at Disneyland can enjoy nightly musical entertainment at the Downtown Disney District every night this month! Plus, it’s even easier to plan your trip to Disneyland thanks to the all-new Disneyland mobile app. App users will be able to view maps that show the theme park attractions, restaurants, and shops in addition to checking on wait times, character appearance schedules, and show times.
