An all-new Princess Royal Reception is coming to the World of Disney store in Disney Springs beginning October 1.
While there are no set meet-and-greet times for this new royal encounter, the surprise appearances will happen every day. Princesses included are Cinderella, Tiana, Snow White, Aurora, or other princesses.

This year’s D23 Destination D: Amazing Adventures is still a couple months away but Disney just released a preview of the merchandise for the event.
The event will feature James Cameron, Jon Landau, Bob Chapek, Joe Rohde, Marty Skalr, Jared Bush, and Tony Baxter in addition to a Walt Disney Archives exhibit celebrating Walt’s personal adventure.

Brand new merchandise for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is coming to the Disney Parks on September 30.
The film tells the story of the Rebels and their mission to steal plans to the Death Star – and takes place between Episode III and Episode IV in the Star Wars films.
The new merchandise includes women’s shirts with characters from the film and apparel from the Her Universe collection.
Other merchandise items include hooded sweatshirts, a sleeveless zip fleece, graphic tees, and more.

The Walt Disney Studios has announced that the classic film The Lion King will be reimagined in a new project from director Jon Favreau.
The hit film The Jungle Book – also a live-action reimagining by Favreau – earned $965.8 million worldwide. A sequel to The Jungle Book is in development.
The Lion King will include songs from the animated film – much like the 2017 live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson as Belle.

Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District will be home to a new Sprinkles cupcake bakery beginning in November.
Sprinkles is the first cupcake bakery – by the Food Network, no less – and its popularity is said to be where the cupcake craze started.
The Walt Disney World Resort Sprinkles location opened earlier this year to much fanfare thanks to the unique cupcake flavors and the cupcake ATM.

The D-Tech on Demand stations are now offering guests a chance to create a new phone case for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
The new designs – including Halloween-themed designs – are for both iPhone 6 and 7 models (including the Plus models).

The 2017 Walt Disney World Marathon is still a few months away, but runDisney is giving runners a sneak peek at the finisher medals.
The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend races celebrate the Fab 5 and one of the most beloved of the Seven Dwarfs – Dopey.
Races for the weekend include the Walt Disney World Marathon, Walt Disney World Half Marathon, the 5K, 10K, and Kids Races.
Runners can also participate in the Dopey Challenge which includes the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon for a total of 48.6 miles.
