Artist Lineup Announced for Epcot International Festival of the Arts

The first Epcot International Festival of the Arts kicks off January 13 for six weekends of art, food, and entertainment.
Disney has recently announced the artist lineup for the event and it features stars from Disney Theatrical Productions. The performances will showcase music and Broadway talent on the America Gardens Theater stage.
The lineup is:

January 13-16 and 20-23: Ashley Brown and Josh Strickland perform songs from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Mary Poppins, and The Little Mermaid.
January 27-30 and February 3-6: Kerry Butler and Kevin Massey performing songs from Disney’s Beauty …

New Alex and Ani Bracelets for 2017

Several new bangles are being released as part of the 2017 Alex and Ani line at the Disney Parks.
The first collection – part of the Words are Powerful Color Infusion line – includes three bangles voted on by readers of the Disney Parks Blog.
These new bracelets feature Merida (Be Forever Brave), Pocahontas (Make Your Own Path), and Jasmine (Unlock the Magic).
The Words are Powerful line will debut in the spring.
Other new 2017 bracelets include designs features Spaceship Earth, Cinderella Castle, Sleeping Beauty Castle, and more. These new designs will arrive …

‘Remember…Dreams Come True’ Returns to Disneyland Park in February

A fan-favorite fireworks spectacular is returning to Disneyland Park on February 3.
‘Remember…Dreams Come True’ debuted in 2005 as part of the 50th anniversary of Disneyland Resort and the fireworks spectacular returns in 2017.
The fireworks show features Tinker Bell’s flights, fireworks, music, and special effects taking guests through the lands of Disneyland. The show also features archival audio tracks, songs, and more from the park’s attractions.
Special features include ‘Shenandoah’ representing Rivers of America, flames during the Indiana Jones Adventure segment, and even Star Wars music representing Star Tours.

Main Street Electrical Parade Dining Packages at Disneyland

The Main Street Electrical Parade returns to Disneyland on January 20 for a limited-time run and guests can now book dining packages that include a preferred viewing area for the parade.
The MSEP Dining Package is available at Blue Bayou and Aladdin’s Oasis.
At Blue Bayou guests can enjoy a three-course pre-fixe menu that includes an appetizer, entree, and dessert. The dining package also includes admission to a preferred viewing area for the parade.
Reservations can be booked up to 60 days in advance for dates beginning January 20. Guests can book online …

Forest Whitaker to Join Cast of ‘Star Wars Rebels’ on Disney XD

Disney XD’s hit animated series Star Wars Rebels is adding an Academy Award-winning actor to its cast.
Forest Whitaker, who is currently starring at Rebel freedom fighter Saw Gerrera in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is joining the cast of the animated series.
The series takes place prior to the events of Rogue One, and Whitaker will reprise his role of Gerrera. His first episode is Star Wars Rebels: Ghosts of Geonosis, Parts One and Two – which premieres on Saturday, January 7 on Disney XD.

Disney Gives Sneak Peek at Foods for the Epcot Festival of the Arts

The first Epcot International Festival of the Arts kicks off January 20 and runs for six weekends through January 13.
Recently, Disney shared a first look at some of the food items that will be available during the Festival.
While we don’t know what any of the food offerings are, Disney did share some great photos of the items which you can see here. From the photos we can guess that guests will have a chance to enjoy savory and sweet items in addition to beverages.

Magic Kingdom Fireworks to be Broadcast Online on New Year’s Eve

If you’re wishing you were celebrating New Year’s Eve at the Magic Kingdom, we have good news!
You can watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks from the Magic Kingdom from the comfort of your living room – no crowds, no lines, just fireworks to ring in the New Year.
The Disney Parks Blog will be broadcasting the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks online beginning at 11:45 p.m. at the DPB site.

Disney World Announces Passholder Gates for Annual Passholders

Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholders can start using a specially designated gate to enter the Disney theme parks starting today.
These “Passholder” gates allow those with an Annual Pass to bypass the long holiday lines at the theme parks’ gates.
This new Annual Passholder benefit starts today and will run through the end of January according to Disney.
The special Passholder gates are a way for Disney to say “thanks” to its Annual Passholder during the busiest time of year for the theme parks.
