Four Hotels at Disney World to Remain “Dog Friendly”

Last month we reported that it appeared that the dog friendly hotels at Disney World might be ending their pilot program on October 15. But now it looks like they’ll remain “dog friendly.”
Disney’s official page listing the details for the four dog friendly hotels – Yacht Club, Art of Animation, Port Orleans Riverside, and the Cabins at Fort Wilderness – no longer has an end date listed for what was a pilot program.
Now, the information states that those four resort hotels “have designated dog-friendly accommodations” including rooms with easy access …

Duffy’s Newest Friend, ‘Olu, Arrives at Aulani

Duffy the Disney bear has a new friend who has joined him at Disney’s Aulani Resort.
‘Olu arrives at Aulani on July 27 with an exclusive line of brand new merchandise!
Duffy met ‘Olu as Mickey and Duffy were sailing the islands in search of the perfect birthday present for ShelliMay and they heard beautiful ‘ukulele music coming from a cove — and that’s where they found ‘Olu.
What a sweet story.
And Duffy and ‘Olu became fast friends and now they’ll be making guests smile at Aulani.

You Can Now Say ‘I Do’ In Front of the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

If you’re looking for an exotic wedding location at Disney World, you can now say “I Do” in front of the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
This new wedding venue is just one of the new locations available at Walt Disney World Resort.
Couples can also choose the pine forest and open air spaces at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort or the Chinese Theatre at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Vote to Name the Turtles at This Year’s Tour de Turtles Event

The annual Tour de Turtles event is planned for July 28 this year and Disney is asking fans to vote to name two of the turtles that will be released.
The Tour de Turtles has a Toy Store theme this year and the names in the running are all characters from the films.
The event takes place at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort and is done in partnership with Disney’s Animals, Science & Environment Team with the Sea Turtle Conservancy.

Disney Restaurants Participating in Orlando Magical Dining Month

The annual Orlando Magical Dining Month kicks off August 24 and once again this year there are several Disney World restaurants participating.
Magical Dining Month gives diners the chance to enjoy a meal at a local Orlando restaurants – $35 for a three-course meal – and $1 of each meal goes to charity.
The charities for 2018 are Best Buddies and Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida.

New Year’s Eve Celebrations Announced for Disney’s Contemporary Resort

It’s still July but it’s never to early to start thinking about your New Year’s Eve plans. And this year there are two events planned at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
The first event is a family-friendly party – Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration. This party features Sarge from Toy Story and includes a Pixar-themed buffet, a DJ dance party, and the chance to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks at midnight.

New Disneyland Hotel Offer Announced for Special End-of-Summer Rates

If you’re making plans to visit Disneyland Resort later this summer, listen up! A new hotel offer has been announced for dates in August and September.
Guests visiting Disneyland Resort can save up to 30 percent on premium rooms at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, save up to 25 percent on premium rooms at Disneyland Hotel, or save up to 10 percent at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel.
These savings are available on select Sunday through Thursday nights between August 5 and September 27. Travel must be booked by September 13.

New Magic Holidays Room Offer Announced at Walt Disney World Resort

It’s time to start making your holiday vacation plans at Walt Disney World and now there’s a new room offer to make it even more magical!
The Magic Holidays room offer gives guests the chance to save up to 20% on stays on most Sunday through Thursday nights between October 8 and December 24, at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
Reservations must be made by October 7.

Disney World’s Dog-Friendly Hotels Policy Likely to End in October

Last fall the Walt Disney World Resort started a pilot program that allowed guests to bring their dogs to stay in their hotel room at four Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.
Now it appears – based on a date on the official Walt Disney World Resort website – that the pilot program is ending on October 15, 2018.
The “Dog-Friendly Disney Resorts” page says: “This pilot program is currently available to Guests with reservations at these Disney Resort hotels now through October 15, 2018 as part of a test.”
