Demi Lovato Goes Country with Cover of Lady Antebellum’s ‘American Honey’

21 July 2012 No Comment

On July 17, Demi Lovato surprised fans with a cover version of Lady Antebellum’s American Honey, trying her hand at some country twang and proving that a teen pop sensation can definitely branch out.

However, this isn’t the first time former Disney starlet has given country music a shot. In December, Lovato told fans that she had written a country song (it hasn’t made it to radio yet.) She’s also a self-professed huge country fan, sources say.

While she may not be crossing over to country just yet, Lovato definitely proved to her fans that she has that crossover capability. You’ll be able to catch Lovato next when she takes the stage as an X-Factor judge this fall.
