Disney in Talks to Make A ‘Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride’ Movie

18 April 2012 No Comment

Sources say that Disney has plans to turn the iconic Disneyland attraction Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride into a feature film.

Pete Candeland, best known for his work on The Gorillaz music videos, is set to direct the live-action/CGI film based on the long-running attraction. While Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride enjoyed a stint at Walt Disney World as well, they closed the attraction in 1998. However, the ride still remains a fan favorite among Disneyland visitors.

Justin Springer (Tron: Legacy) will produce, but the studio is still looking for a writer to draft the script. We’ll be sure to update you on this exciting prospect when more news becomes available.
