Disney to Honor Family Vacation Memories with New Promotion

In the past Disney Park promotions have included random dream granting & family stays in luxurious themed suites, honoring birthdays with a free day in the parks, and rewarding volunteerism. Starting in January, Disney plans to pay homage to its guests by featuring family vacation memories in several different ways. The new promotion, “Let the Memories Begin,” will feature photos of families projected onto several park icons with the promotion’s new theme song as a backdrop. Families will also have the opportunity to submit photos & videos on-line for Disney to possibly use in TV commercials, online ads, brochures and other advertising material.

In Disneyland images of Disney guests will be projected onto the facade of “It’s a Small World,” while in Walt Disney World the show will be featured on Cinderella’s Castle. The photographs displayed in the parks will be taken by Disney photographers throughout the day; the specific show times have yet to be announced.

“The nighttime show will use the latest in high-intensity projection technology to create vivid visuals that seem to defy the architecture of the building. A new song commissioned for the show will provide an emotional context for these images of the Disney guest experience.” (-WDW News)

To submit photographs and videos on-line you must first have a Disney on-line account & visit the official “Let the Memories Begin” website. You may be asked to supply an e-mail address, mailing address, date of birth, along with some other information along with your submission. On-line submissions will also be accepted on Disney’s official You Tube, Facebook, & My Space pages.
