New Entertainment Offerings to Debut in New Fantasyland

17 November 2012 No Comment

With the official opening of Walt Disney World’s New Fantasyland just a few weeks away, we’re now starting to hear more about some of the smaller details coming to the land, including some brand-new entertainment offerings. This week, Disney announced that some new atmosphere groups will soon be debuting in the new area, with the first set to debut next week.

“With the opening of New Fantasyland, we’re excited to introduce several new atmosphere groups that will become part of the storytelling experience you’ll find there,” said Creative Director Reed Jones. “They’re going to bring the neighborhoods of the land to life in really fun ways.”

The first of these groups to debut will be the Royal Majesty Makers, who will debut during previews of New Fantasyland next week. The group, who can be found in the Castle Courtyard, will engage young guests in acts of “royaldom” that give them the skills to become princes and princesses; these activities will include conducting Knight School, delivering invitations to a Royal Ball, leading royal dances, and playing games with guests. Led by retired knight Sir Sterling and royal etiquette expert Lady Llewellyn, the Royal Majesty Makers will also include Tobias, squire extraordinaire, and Bridget, a flirtatious lady-in-waiting.

This is only the first of several entertainment groups that we can expect to be debuting in New Fantasyland in the coming weeks, so be sure to stay tuned for more updates on this fun new addition to the Fantasyland Expansion. Walt Disney World’s New Fantasyland will celebrate its grand opening on December 6.
