New Pin Set Inspired by Custom Car Designer Chip Foose Coming to Disney California Adventure

At Disney’s California Adventure Park, the new Cars Land has many impressive details for visitors to enjoy. One such detail – the car hoods found at Ramone’s House of Body Art – were designed by custom car builder and designer Chip Foose, and served as the inspiration for a new pin set coming to the theme park.

Julie Young, product developer for pins, said one particular hood from the collection served as the inspiration for the limited edition pin set. She says:

I first saw an image of the ‘Ramone’s’ car hood during a meeting about Cars Land construction. As soon as I saw the image, I thought it would make a great pin. For many pins I develop, I like adding characters to the artwork. These 11 car hoods, however, don’t feature characters, as I think they are iconic enough to be their own characters.

Young worked closely with artist John Henselmeier to create the artwork for the car-hood inspired pins, which will be available at Ramone’s House of Body Art; Radiator Springs Curios and Elias & Co. in Disney California Adventure park. Additionally, the pin set will also be available at Disney’s Pin Traders in Downtown Disney District.

There will only be 500 of these sets released, and they will retail for $165.
