New Tinker Bell Film ‘Secret of the Wings’ to be Released on Blu-ray in October

This fall, Tinker Bell fans will be able to enjoy a brand-new feature-length film about Tinker Bell and her fairy friends. The CG-animated film, entitled Secret of the Wings, will make its debut on Blu-ray combo pack and DVD on October 23rd, 2012, becoming the first Tinker Bell film to be released on Disney 3D Blu-ray.

The film focuses on Tinker Bell and her fairy friends (Fawn, Iridessa, Rosetta, Silvermist and Vidia), while also introducing a brand-new winter fairy named Periwinkle. In Secret of the Wings, audiences will go along with Tink on her adventure to the mysterious and forbidden Winter Woods, where she discovers a magical and life-changing secret.

Featured in Secret of the Wings will be the voice talents of such talented actors as Timothy Dalton (Chuck), Lucy Liu (Charlie’s Angels, Southland), Raven-Symoné (That’s So Raven), Pamela Adlon (Californication), Matt Lanter (90210), Megan Hilty (Smash), Debby Ryan (Jessie), Mae Whitman (Parenthood), and Academy Award winner Anjelica Huston. Periwinkle, the sparkling new winter fairy, will be voiced by Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale.

The film, which is a production of DisneyToon Studios, is directed by Peggy Holmes with co-director Bobs Gannoway and producer Michael Wigert. John Lasseter serves as executive producer.
