Sake & Shine Event Coming to Disney Springs on December 3

Sake & Shine, a progressive dinner with Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto and Chef Art Smith at their respective restaurants in Disney Springs, has been announced for December 3.
The meals feature a three-course Pan-Asian dinner at Morimoto Asia and dessert at Homecoming Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine.
The dinner at Morimoto Asia will feature sake and beer pairings and takes place at the second-story Forbidden Lounge balcony.
Following the dinner, guests will walk to Homecoming Florida Kitchen for the dessert course which includes build-your-own Florida strawberry shortcake plus slices of Chef Art Smith’s …

Homecoming Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine Opens in Disney Springs

Disney Springs has added another celebrity chef restaurant to its growing list of eateries.
Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming Florida Kitchen & Southern Shine opened this week at Disney Springs.
Chef Smith is not only a Florida native but is also a former Disney cast member as part of the Disney College Program.
The restaurant is serving up Chef Smith’s take on Florida fare and features menu items such as Church Lady Deviled Eggs, Bee Haven Bay Fried Green Tomatoes, Tarpon Springs Greek Salad, Bunch of Puppies, and Art’s Fabulous Fried Chicken.

Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Shine Bar Coming Soon to Disney Springs

Disney Springs is set to add another unique dining experience to its lineup when Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Shine Bar opens this summer.
The restaurant will feature the “farm-to-fork” cuisine that Chef Smith is known for and diners will enjoy comfort foods including Cheese-Laced Biscuits, Fried Chicken, and more.
Desserts will include Mockingbird Cake and Fruit Cobblers.
The restaurant will spotlight seasonal ingredients from Florida in addition to products and ingredients from Florida artisans including roasted coffees, desserts, breads, and more.

Thirty New Tenants Announced for Disney Springs Including Retail Shops and Restaurants

Disney Springs just keeps growing and growing. This week, 30 new tenants were announced for the dining, shopping, and entertainment district.
Several of the shops are high-end retailers including Lacoste, kate spade new york, Sephora, Lucky Brand, and more.
Disney Springs is home to four neighborhoods: The Landing, Marketplace, West Side, and Town Center, and all are connected by a spring and waterfront.

The Week in Disney News: Another New Restaurant for Disney Springs, Narrators Announced for Candlelight Processional, and More!

We’re halfway through October which means the winter holiday season is getting closer! And we have some news this week about the annual Candlelight Processional at Epcot.
The full list of narrators has been announced for the Candlelight Processional and they include Gary Sinise, Whoopi Goldberg, Neil Patrick Harris, and Amy Grant. The Candlelight Processional is performed three times each night from November 27 through December 30.

New Restaurant from Chef Art Smith Announced for Disney Springs

Disney has announced another new restaurant for Disney Springs.
Chef Art Smith – best known as the founder of Art and Soul in Washington, D.C., and as Oprah’s former chef – is opening a new restaurant in Disney Springs in 2016. The celebrity chef is also well-known for his appearances on Iron Chef America and Top Chef Masters.
The new eatery’s name is Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine. The name was inspired by Chef Smith’s status as a Florida native. The chef also completed a culinary internship at the Walt Disney …
