“Disney Channel Rocks” is going to be a high-energy live rock concert blasting popular music from various Disney Channel hit shows. In an attempt to streamline the popular stroller rental service at Disneyland four new self-service kiosks have been added on the Esplanade; in addition to the staffed wheelchair & stroller rental counter. The new kiosks will allow guests to skip long lines & use their credit card to reserve strollers for up to six days. Located right outside the Disneyland Park entrance the kiosks will give guests the option to complete their transaction in either English or Spanish.

If you’re a fan of the Maliboomer on Paradise Pier in Disney’s California Adventure, be sure to get your fix before September 6. ABC News reports that the thrill ride will be removed from Disneyland as part of the renovation of Paradise Pier.
The ride takes guests 180 feet into the air and then drops them back down again. According to ABC News:

Heather Hurst Rivera, Manager of Print and Social Media at the Disneyland Resort, is reporting that a third showing of the popular new “World of Color” display at Disney’s California Adventure park is being added every night from now through Labor Day. The third showing will take place at 11:15 p.m. with the same spectacular effects and fanfare as the earlier shows.

At the blue carpet premier event for Disney’s highly-anticipated “World of Color” show in California Adventure Geoff Boucher, “Los Angeles Times” Entertainment blogger, asked Disney President & CEO Bob Iger if guests were going to see Marvel characters in the Disney Parks anytime soon. Disney executives are betting heavily on the upcoming debut of World of Color. The company hopes that their upcoming extravaganza will turn the under-performing park into a hit.

On Friday guests at Disney’s California Adventure park received an unexpected treat, a soft opening for the re-imagineered “Silly Symphonies Swings” attraction on Paradise Pier. Formally known as the “Orange Stinger” the swings went under refurbishment as part of Disney’s $1 billion expansion and makeover of the park. Two weeks before the re-themed attraction was scheduled to re-open the Orange County Register is reporting that Disney guest relation officials are unable to confirmation if the soft opening will continue during Memorial Day weekend.

In an announcement made earlier today by Thomas Smith, Social Media Director for Disney Parks, was revealed “Rex & Trixie’s Dino Darts,” a new game being added to the popular “Toy Story Midway Mania” attraction. Starting in May guests at both Disney’s California Adventure and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be able to experience the new game, featuring characters from the upcoming Disney Pixar feature “Toy Story 3.”
