The Kinsey Collection Exhibit to Open at Epcot This March

5 January 2013 No Comment

There’s a lot to love about World Showcase in Walt Disney World’s Epcot, as guests have the chance to immerse themselves in different cultures and enjoy a wide variety of cuisines, shopping, and entertainment. However, something that often goes overlooked by most guests is the wonderful exhibits found in many of the countries. One such exhibit will be the Kinsey Collection, which will debut at the American Adventure pavilion later this year.

The Kinsey Collection will feature treasured items of African-American art and history that tell an “American story of determination and inspiration.” The exhibit will feature over 40 items that have been collected from over 90 countries around the world and date as far back as the 17th century. Items on display will include art, artifacts, sculptures, documents, and books.

The new exhibit will officially open at the American Heritage Gallery in the American Adventure Pavilion this March, following a preview of the exhibit during African-American Heritage Month in February. Entrance to the exhibit will be included with regular Epcot admission.
