Tokyo Disney Sea Announces Plans for 15th Anniversary Celebration

tokyo15Tokyo Disney Resort has announced plans for the 15th anniversary celebration of Tokyo Disney Sea which is set to kick off on April 15, 2016.

The celebration will run for an entire year, ending on March 17, 2017.

This 15th anniversary celebration – The Year of Wishes – is focused on wishes and dreams which are symbolized in different color crystals that will be used to decorate the entire theme park.

A new show – Crystal Wishes Journey – is part of the celebration and will take place at the Mediterranean Harbor. In the show Disney characters will share their wishes with guests. A new version of Big Band Beat will debut at the Broadway Music Theater and will include new music, costumes, and more.

The Big Band Beat show has not been updated since it debuted in 2006.

A new projection mapping show is also set to debut in mid-2016 at the Hangar Stage in the Lost River Delta.

Tokyo Disney Sea opened September 4, 2001 and is the first Disney theme park to have a “sea” theme.
