Disney Previews Commemorative Merchandise for Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend

The 2017 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend starts February 23 and Disney has given guests a preview of some of the commemorative merchandise.
Participants will find several apparel items including short and long-sleeved shirts, jackets, tank tops, and running shorts. A Beauty and the Beast theme will be found throughout the weekend including entertainment, finisher medals, and select merchandise.
Runners participating in the Glass Slipper Challenge will find a race jacket, a tank top, logo shirts, and running pants. There is also special merchandise for the other races including the Princess 5K, …

Disney Caribbean Beach Resort Restaurants Closing for Refurbishment this Spring

Disney recently announced two major resort construction projects at Coronado Springs and Caribbean Beach, and now we’re hearing more details about what is happening at Caribbean Beach Resort.
Guests with reservations at Caribbean Beach that start at the end of April and beginning of May started receiving emails on Tuesday informing them of the closure of the dining options at the resort.

Disney Cruise Line Announces 2018 Sailing Itineraries

Disney Cruise Line has announced its 2018 sailing itineraries and several ports of call are a first for the ships.
The Disney Magic will visit Milan, Italy for the first time in addition to stops in Genoa, and Portofino. In June 2018 ports of call include Barcelona and Rome.
Disney Cruise Line is featuring its first British Isle cruise with stops in Dublin and Cork, Ireland; Greenock, Scotland; and Liverpool, England. The Disney Magic’s other stops during the summer of 2018 include the Baltic, the Norwegian fjords, and the Mediterranean.

Get Your Photo Taken with an Oscar at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The Oscars are this Sunday, February 26, on ABC and from now until that day guests can get up close and personal with a real Academy Award at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Oscar® statuette is located at One Man’s Dream in the Studios.
Guests can walk the red carpet and have their photo taken with the statuette during regular park hours.

The Walt Disney Company Named “Most Admired” for Second Year in a Row

Disney has once again been ranked as the number one entertainment company on Fortune’s list of the ‘World’s Most Admired Companies.’
This is the second year in a row that Disney has been named as one of the “most admired” companies in the world.
The company was ranked number five overall and this year marks the fifth consecutive year that Disney has been in the top 10.

BB-8 to Meet Guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Starting this Spring

BB-8, everyone’s favorite droid from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The droid will begin meeting guests at Star Wars Launch Bay alongside Kylo Ren and Chewbacca later this spring.
Star Wars Launch Bay is home to character meet-and-greets, galleries of memorabilia from the Star Wars galaxy, replicas of Star Wars artifacts, and more. Guests will find some items from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story too.

Disney and PANDORA Jewelry Team Up to Design Finisher Medal for the Tinker Bell Half Marathon

Disney and PANDORA Jewelry have teamed up for the first time to design a finisher medal for a runDisney event.
The Tinker Bell Half Marathon finisher medal was created by Disney Yellow Shoes art director David Brotherton and PANDORA Jewelry. The medal features Tinker Bell and a bit of bling.
The other finisher medals for the Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend are also a lot of fun. The Never Land 5K and Tinker Bell 10K finisher medals feature fan-favorite characters from Peter Pan.

Disney Announces Updates to Coronado Springs and Caribbean Beach Resort

Two of the Moderate resorts at Walt Disney World are set to be updated over the next couple of years.
Disney announced that Coronado Springs Resort and Caribbean Beach Resort will both be updated and reimagined.
Coronado Springs will be expanded with a 15-story tower featuring 500 additional guest rooms. The resort will also update its current rooms and improve the landscape by adding floating gardens and and “island oasis.”

Is Disney Planning to Build a Cable Car System at the Walt Disney World Resort?

There’s been a rumor circulating for a short time that the Walt Disney World Resort is considering building a cable car system on property.
And, thanks to the filing of some plans by the Reedy Creek Improvement District with the South Florida Water Management District, that rumor is getting stronger.
