Disney Caribbean Beach Resort Restaurants Closing for Refurbishment this Spring

cbr banana cabanaDisney recently announced two major resort construction projects at Coronado Springs and Caribbean Beach, and now we’re hearing more details about what is happening at Caribbean Beach Resort.

Guests with reservations at Caribbean Beach that start at the end of April and beginning of May started receiving emails on Tuesday informing them of the closure of the dining options at the resort.

Beginning in late April (between April 27 and 30 according to sources), Old Port Royale Food Court, Shutters, and Banana Cabana Pool Bar will close for an undetermined amount of time.

The Calypso Trading Post will also be closed.

Guests will find breakfast and dinner service in Centertown, and grab-and-go items will be available at three “island markets” located in Aruba, Jamaica, and Martinique.

Update: As of February 25, some guests have received emails stating that (1) breakfast and dinner will be available in Centertown, (2) grab-and-go items will be available at the three island markets, (3) Freestyle Coke machines will be located throughout the resort for refillable mugs, (4) both Martinique and Barbados villages will close this spring as part of the refurbishment, (4) a new quick service walk-up window is opening in Trinidad this summer, and (5) the main feature pool will remain open.
