Disney Announces 2019 Free Dining Dates

In what can be described as a surprise New Year’s move, Disney has announced Free Dining for 2019 – with dates from July 5 through September 30.
Not only is the announcement earlier than normal, but the dates stop before the fall opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – and the crowds expected for the new land.
The minimum stay for this year’s Free Dining is four nights, and the package must include the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus tickets.

Additional Acts Announced for the Garden Rocks Concert Series

The 2019 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival kicks off March 6, and today we’ve got details on additional acts that have been added to the lineup for the Garden Rocks Concert Series.
The new acts announced this week include: Richard Marx, A Flock of Seagulls, Jon Secada, Journey former lead vocalist Steve Augeri, Air Supply, Rick Springfield, Starship starring Mickey Thomas, and Blood, Sweat and Tears.
The Garden Rocks Concert Series takes place nightly throughout the Festival at the America Gardens Theater in Epcot. Shows are performed at 5:30pm, 6:45pm, 8:00pm and …

Menus and More Details Announced for the 2019 Epcot Festival of the Arts

The 2019 Epcot Festival of the Arts kicks off January 18, and Disney has released the menus for the Food Studios along with other information.
The Festival will once again feature more than a dozen Food Studios serving up culinary works of art.

Guests visiting the Festival can also enjoy complimentary seminars, interactive workshops, and premium Paint with a Disney Artist workshops.

Disney Announces Star Wars News, Resort Hotel Updates, and More at Destination D

Over the weekend Disney hosted the D23 Destination D event and announced a slate of new experiences, attraction updates, and more.
When Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens next year at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios guests will be able to experience two new attractions: Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

More Details Announced for the New Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Disney has announced more details about the new 15-story tower being built at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, including the name.
The new tower is the Gran Destino Tower and it is slated to open in July 2019.
The tower will feature 545 new guest rooms, including 50 suites. The two-story lobby will be the new entrance point for the hotel.
And, a new rooftop table service restaurant is also planned for the tower.

Menus Announced for the 2018 Epcot Festival of the Holidays

The 2018 Epcot Festival of the Holidays kicks off November 18 at Epcot, and we have details on the menus for the Holiday Kitchens.
This year’s Festival will feature 12 official Holiday Kitchens plus additional food locations!
New for 2018 is L’Chaim!, and Taste Track continues its role as a food booth serving up variations of croissant donuts.
L’Chaim will be serving will serve traditional Jewish dishes such as Pastrami on Rye, Chicken and Matzo Ball Soup, Egg Cream, and more.

Disney Cruise Line Announces Sailing Itineraries for 2020

Disney Cruise Line has announced its sailing itineraries for 2020 and the sailings include new ports of departure and a return to Hawaii.
In 2020, Disney Cruise Line will sail from New Orleans for the first time ever when the Disney Wonder departs on four-, six- and seven-night Western Caribbean sailings; a seven-night Bahamian cruise; and a 14-night Panama Canal voyage.
Departures from New Orleans begin in “Mardi Gras season” in early 2020.

More Details Announced for New Dining at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

While we’re waiting for the new dining options to open at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney has announced new details for the waterfront dining and the updated quick service restaurant.
The new quick service area will be called Centertown Market and it will feature an “indoor street market vibe.”
Guests will enter the area under a palapa-like structure and the area will feature “open shutters, wooden light posts, awnings, ornamentation and unique seating areas.” Grab and go items will also be available.

It might be the dog days of summer, but some folks are already thinking about their holiday vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort.

New Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy Show to Open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

A new show starring Lightning McQueen is set to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in early 2019.
In the new show, Cars star Lightning McQueen will bring the world of Cars to guests with some help from Mater and Cruz Ramirez.
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy will be located near Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at the Studios and guests will come face-to-face with McQueen.
In the show, McQueen wants to teach the up-and-coming rookies (the guests) what he’s learned over the years…but things might not go as planned.
