Changes Coming to Disneyland Main Street U.S.A. Restaurants in 2012

Three restaurants located in the Main Street U.S.A. portion of Disneyland Park will undergo renovations in 2012 to expand their ability to serve guests.

Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor and the Candy Palace will gain some much-needed elbow room.  The ice cream parlor, home to the ever-popular dipped ice cream cones, will benefit from additional space, as will the viewing area at the candy shop, where guests flock to see Cast Member create from-scratch sweet treats.  The parlor and shop will close in January 2012 and reopen later in the spring.

At the Carnation Cafe, guest are in for a real treat, as they will be able to enjoy seating indoors once more.  Look for the closure of the popular spot in early 2012, with a reopening date later in the summer.

Finally, an all new offering, the Jolly Holiday Bakery, is coming to the spot that is currently occupied by the Plaza Pavilion.  The new restaurant will replace Blue Ribbon bakery, and will offer an expanded menu and seating.  Work is underway on the exciting new expansion, with a projected opening date of January 2012.
