Fashion Boutique ‘Apricot Lane’ to Join Downtown Disney District This Summer

Disneyland Resort announced Monday that a new fashion boutique, Apricot Lane, will be added to Downtown Disney District sometime in June 2011.

According to Tony Bruno, vice president of Disneyland Resort Hotels and Downtown Disney:

We always look to add unique locations that provide our guests a shopping experience unlike anywhere else – Apricot Lane certainly fits that mold. Our guests are going to love the fashion collection Apricot Lane has to offer.

The fashion boutique will carry a wide variety of affordable and trendy brands such as Free People, Miss Me, Vintage Havana, Chaser and Good Works Make a Difference. The store will also offer accessories, apparel, handbags and more so shoppers can create some of the latest looks without breaking the bank.

Founder and CEO Ken Petersen echos this sentiment, saying that “many of the designer labels found in Apricot Lane are worn by celebrities and seen in the pages of current fashion magazines, [and] we are excited to give Disneyland Resort guests a place where they can replicate those looks.”

Apricot Lane has expanded to include almost 75 franchises across 25 states since their opening debut in 2007, and repeatedly makes Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top Franchise List. Plus, new inventory is added to the boutique almost daily, which means resort guests will always find something new and on-trend to take home. Their limited numbers of each item also ensures that women will be able to create unique, one-of-a-kind looks, as well.

With the addition of Apricot Lane, Downtown Disney continues to expand their store offerings to give resort guests a unique shopping experience. The specialty denim store Blink opened earlier this month, and shoe store Sanuk will be appearing in June.
