‘Good Luck Charlie’ Is Renewed for a Third Season, Original Movie to Debut in December

Fans of the hit Disney Channel show Good Luck Charlie are in luck, as Disney has announced that the show has been renewed for a third season. The show, which centers on the everyday adventures of the Duncan family, stars Bridgit Mendler, Jason Dolley, Leigh-Allyn Baker, Bradley Steven Perry, Mia Talerico and Eric Allan Kramer. Production on the show’s third season is scheduled to resume in Los Angeles for a season premiere in early 2012.

In addition, Good Luck Charlie fans will be able to look forward to a brand-new Disney Channel Original Movie about the family, entitled Good Luck Charlie, It’s Christmas!. The film will follow the Duncan family as they accidentally get separated on their way to Palm Springs. With only a few short days until Christmas, everyone scrambles to reunite the clan, going on a journey that contains some hiccups, hurdles, and even a happy surprise that helps the Duncans discover a new meaning of family.

Good Luck Charlie, It’s Christmas! will star the show’s cast, as well as guest stars Debra Monk (Damages, Grey’s Anatomy) and Michael Kagan (Desperate Housewives). The film is directed by Emmy nominee Arlene Sanford (Ally McBeal, Boston Legal) with a script by Geoff Rodkey (R.V., Daddy Day Care), and is scheduled to make its debut on Disney Channel this December.
