New Updates Make Disneyland Hotel Better Than Ever

The historic Disneyland Hotel continues to wow guests with lots of new features and attractions.  Earlier this month, we told you about the opening of two new food and beverage fun spots, Tangaroa Terrace and Trader Sam’s – Enchanted Tiki Bar.  Yesterday, adding to the fun of the holiday weekend, Disneyland Hotel opened its brand new water play area as part of its continuing pool renovation.

The new area serves as a centerpiece to the new pool complex.  Featuring the iconic Disneyland block signage, the waterslides also allow guests to zip through replicas of the resort’s trademark monorail cars before splashing into the pool below.

The slides are only part of the fun coming to the pool area.  A new D-Ticket themed pool will celebrate the early days of the park, when guests used tickets for various attractions.  And opening later this year on the site that previously housed the Neverland pool will be the adjacent E-Ticket pool.  New spas, which will take Mickey and Minnie as their theme, will also open later, and six new cabanas will be located poolside, and will feature flat screen TVs and fridges, and will be equipped with phones, safes, and ceiling fans.

Other updates taking place to the hotel include re-theming of some of the properties suites, which now include Fairy Tale and Big Thunder suites, as well as the Mickey Mouse Penthouse and Pirates of the Caribbean suites.
