Disney CEO Bob Iger made the announcement this afternoon during The Walt Disney Company’s quarterly earnings call.
The immersive new land based on the blockbuster – and Oscar-winning film Avatar – will transport guests to the land of Pandora, home to floating mountains and bioluminescent plants.
Two attraction will anchor the land – the Na’vi River Journey and Avatar Flight of Passage.
Guests on the Na’vi River Journey will travel through a bioluminescent rainforest via a boat. And on Avatar Flight of Passage they’ll explore Pandora atop a Banshee.
The Satu’li Canteen will serve food in Pandora, and Pongu Pongu will be offering a spot for drinks.
Pandora: The World of Avatar opens May 27.
