Last week, we reported that the prequel to the smash Disney/Pixar hit Monsters, Inc. entitled Monsters University would be released November 2012. Now, Disney/Pixar have announced that they’ve pushed back the release date; we can now expect the new film to be released June 21, 2013.
Instead, Disney’s toon Ralph’s Reboot will open on November 2, 2012 in place of Monsters University. With its new release date, the film will open two weeks after the release of Turbo, a DreamWorks Animation and Paramount release.
No new details have surfaced beyond what we already covered regarding the prequel’s plot, but I’m sure many fans are looking forward to the next film in the Monsters franchise.
