Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Sign Spotted at Magic Kingdom — Correction

CORRECTION –This sign is the name of the current attraction gift shop, and, alas, not a harbinger of the new ride to come. Thanks to our readers for pointing out our error!

While walking through Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland at Walt Disney World on Saturday, I saw a sign for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

While the walls are certainly still firmly in place for the Fantasyland expansion, guests can definitely spy new structures going up behind them – even without the benefit of hopping on board Dumbo the Flying Elephant for an aerial view!  No word on when the mine train, which is slated to be Disney’s newest roller coaster, will open, or when Snow White’s Scary Adventures will close.  However, Mickey’s Toontown is now closed to guests and officially off theme park maps, so we can only assume that workers have more than enough projects to keep them busy for the time being.

  • Thanks to the comments of many fans…turns out that this sign has been there for a while. Just goes to show the amazing detail of the parks. With my many, many, many trips to Magic Kingdom, I had never noticed it. Thanks for all of you who wrote to point it out.
