If you’re a fan of unique Disney Parks T-shirts you’re in luck this month! A new collection of limited release tees is debuting this month at the Disney Parks online store.
The first T-shirt celebrates Pluto’s 85th birthday on September 5. Mickey’s pal debuted in a Mickey Mouse cartoon, The Chain Gang, in 1930 as a bloodhound. He became Mickey’s dog Pluto in the 1937 film The Moose Hunt.
The Pluto tee is available until September 10 in youth and adult sizes.

The five-part comic book series Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will feature stories from Walt Disney Imagineering. Action-packed stories include earthquakes, floods, and dynamite chewing goats.

In December, we told you that Disneyland’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad would be closing this month for a major renovation. Now, crews are beginning to prepare for the overhaul, which will cost an estimated $4 million. This is the first major refurbishment of the attraction in more than three decades.

The attraction at Disneyland Park will be closing January 7, 2013 for a major overhaul. The updates will include brand-new ride vehicles (but will remain in the style of the trains we all know and love,) and new track, but the ride will still follow the current course. Sources have reported that ABC Studios has ordered a television script based on the back story of the popular “Big Thunder Mountain Railroad” attraction at Disneyland.
The attraction, which opened in 1979 at Disneyland Park, is a Western adventure set in a mountain based on Bryce Canyon in Utah. Disney’s story says the mountain has “mysterious rumblings and strange noises” and “Native American tales claim that supernatural forces will unleash the power of thunder upon those who dare to remove gold from the mountain.” The ride now appears at 5 Disney …

Sources have announced that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom park will be getting a new, interactive queue to fully immerse guests like never before.
The attraction will be the next in line of several previous attractions that have updated queues, including The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, the Haunted Mansion and Dumbo the Flying Elephant in Storybook Circus.
