Patti LaBelle and Terrence Roberts Appearing at Epcot to Celebrate Black History Month

Two more authors are scheduled for the special author’s series celebrating Black History Month at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Grammy Award winner Patti LaBelle will be at the American Adventure Pavilion on February 20 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. for a book signing and fan meet-and-greet.
Patti also stars in a television cooking show Patti LaBelle’s Place and has authored cookbooks filled with Southern recipes.

Walt Disney World Resort Celebrating Black History Month with Two Author Signings

The American Adventure Pavilion at Epcot is hosting two author signings as part of the celebration of Black History Month.
Guests have the chance to meet author Terry McMillan and celebrity chef and author G. Garvin.
Terry McMillan is the author of Waiting to Exhale and other novels and short stories about African American women. Her eighth novel, ‘Who Asked You?’, was recently published.  Terry’s book signing takes place at The American Adventure Pavilion on Saturday, February 6, from 1-2 p.m. and again from 3-4 p.m.

Disney Channel to Celebrate Black History Month With ‘Doc McStuffins’ Interstitials

To celebrate Black History Month in February, The Disney Channel will air a group of interstitials dubbed We are Doc McStuffins. These segments are short spin-offs of the wildly popular Doc McStuffins television show, which features a young African American female who sets up a clinic for stuffed animals in her backyard after being inspired by her physician mother.
Following the same vein, We Are Doc McStuffins will feature real-life female African American doctors including Dr. Myiesha Taylor, Dr. Aletha Maybank and Dr. Naeemah Ghafur.

Disney Channel to Offer Special Black History Month Programming

This month, the Disney Channel will be airing special interstitials to celebrate Black History Month.
These original shorts will showcase children from the Challengers Boys and Girls Club Of Los Angeles as they share their hopes and dreams, along with what inspires them and how they want to change the world. The shorts are part of the Disney Channel’s This is Me series.
