The Meredith Corporation Buys Disney’s FamilyFun Magazine

Sources have announced that The Meredith Corporation has purchased Disney Publishing Worldwide’s FamilyFun Magazine, adding to their roster of family-oriented titles which includes American Baby, Parents and Family Circle.
Art Slusark, vice president for corporate communications at Meredith, says “it works well with our parenting strategy.” American Baby and Parents are aimed at mothers with infants and toddlers, and Family Circle focus on families with teens. Now that the company has acquired FamilyFun magazine, they’ll have a parenting magazine that focuses on parents with children ages 3 to 12.

Disney Publishing Worldwide Debuts New ‘FamilyFun Kids’ Magazine

Disney Publishing Worldwide has announced the launch of a brand new magazine entitled FamilyFun Kids. This bi-monthly magazine was designed to foster kids’ imagination and creativity with hands-on crafts, recipes, brainteasers and other interactive activities for children ages 6 to 12.

Disney Store Reveals their Top Ten ‘Most Wanted Holiday Toys’

Together with Disney Consumer Products, the Disney Store has revealed their “Most Wanted Holiday Toys” list to make gift-giving easy for parents and family members this year. All of the toys are inspired by favorite Disney characters and stories, and some of the items that made the list feature new and innovative ways to play.
